Angry Radish

This charcoal drawing is a self-portrait based on a photograph I took at my lowest point. It represents raw vulnerability: bare-faced, without hair, with faint eyebrows, and the intensity of confronting oneself without distraction.
I often gravitate toward red because of its intensity and emotional charge. I am also drawn to high contrast, using stark differences in value to heighten drama and emphasize psychological depth.
