Scarlet Nights

Scarlet Nights depicts two lovers lighting a cigarette beneath a neon street sign, myself and my partner. In this piece, I explore the passion shared between lovers and the intimacy that can exist even within the most mundane moments.
The intensity of the red, contrasted against the dark background, captures both the heat of passion and the nostalgic rush of youth. Through this work, I also engage in a technical exploration of lighting and shadow, using contrast to heighten emotional depth and atmosphere.
